About Bhasha Ghar

The Department of Education in Languages has established "Bhasha Ghar," a dedicated resource centre aimed at preserving and providing access to a wide array of language materials for further study. This initiative promotes multilingualism, ICT-enabled language education, and awareness of linguistic rights, reflecting the department's commitment to an evolving vision of language education and linguistics.

"Bhasha Ghar" serves as a vital hub for collecting resources that support reading, writing, research, and innovation. It encourages collaborative discussions and creates a blended environment that combines traditional and digital services to enhance the learning experience. As a social space, it ensures the safe and effective utilization of resources, making it an essential asset for educators and students alike.

The centre’s inventory includes a comprehensive range of materials, such as textbooks, supplementary readers, workbooks, grammars, and dictionaries from NCERT, SCERTs, and other reputable sources. Additionally, it houses important educational documents and reports on language education, the National Curriculum Framework, syllabi, policies, NCERT annual reports, newsletters, and research reports from RIEs. By providing access to these diverse resources, "Bhasha Ghar" fosters a rich environment for linguistic exploration and academic growth.
