Role and Function

• Vigilance & Legal Section liaisons with Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Ministry of Education (MoE) on the vigilance and legal matters.
• Receives various complaint/grievance from complainant against the officials/vigilance of NCERT Hqrs. & its constituent units.
• Resolves the complaints/grievances as per the guidelines by the CVC, DoPT and submit its report to the CVC & Ministry of Education, as required.
• Issue the Vigilance Clearance Certificate in respect of officers/officials of NCERT Hqrs. & its constituent units.
• Maintains a list of those officers/employees of the Council, against whom disciplinary proceeding has been initiated.
• Processes and monitor/follow up of court case matters.
• Receiving information from concerned Sections/Departments of the Council and forwarding it to the concerned Advocate. Liaising between the Advocate and concerned Section/Deptt. of NCERT Hqrs.
• Furnishes various quarterly reports relating to the Section to CVC and Ministry of Education.
• Updates the court cases details on the Legal Information Management Briefing System (LIMBS) portal from time to time.
• Submits the combined court cases list to Ministry of Education on monthly basis.
